Mother’s Day is THE day everyone shows their mother how much she is appreciated.
Moms are the glue for every family and usually the main caregiver for kids of the family.
And while we love our moms every day of the year it is nice to have one day dedicated to our moms.
But do you also know where mother’s day even comes from?
History of mother’s Day
According to History.com the origin of mother’s day goes back to the 1900s where a woman called Anna Jarvis celebrated the first mothers day after her moms death in 1905 as a way to honor all the sacrifices mothers make for their children.
Her mother was a great woman always organizing groups of women to promote friendship.
She held a memorial for her mother on May 12 1907 and within the following 5 years a lot of other states started to honor that day too.
I think that is a great way to keep someones memory alive while also doing something good.
Nowadays Mother’s Day became very commercial like other holiday too.
But there is one simple thing every mom will love for mother’s day – help with chores or hugs and kisses from their kids.
